Nahant Hillside

With a view over the bay towards downtown Boston, these homeowners wanted a garden that would enhance their spectacular seaside location, evoke memories of Provence, and bring them year-round joy. We replaced their arid, steep lawn with Mediterranean herbs, roses, beach plums, amsonias, asters, and a vast number of drought- and salt-tolerant perennials. Monarchs regularly stop here for nectar during their coastal fall migration.
